AI Consultant (all genders) - Hybrid, Berlin/Frankfurt

Berlin, Frankfurt
Full or part-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

Bringing ML research into application

dida builds custom machine learning software for industrial and enterprise clients, among them Siemens, Deutsche Bahn, idealo, klöckner.i and Enpal, and has received the Microsoft “AI for Earth Award” for innovative environmental projects, among other recognitions. Our team combines scientific excellence with real business requirements.

Many of our projects start with a concept or evaluation workshop: together with the decision makers we assess use cases and the data situation and turn vague ideas into a concrete project roadmap. We are currently building this workshop format into a consulting offering of its own, and we are looking for reinforcement.

Your role: strategic and technical consulting

As an AI Consultant you are the bridge between our ML scientists and the business units of our clients. You work in tandem with the Account Management and Business Development team and take the technical lead in workshops and pre-sales meetings.

In this position you are the face of dida for specific industries: you follow no rigid process, but develop innovative solutions together with our engineers and our clients.

Your tasks

  • Prepare and run workshops: You prepare client workshops and run them together with the team. Your part is the technical depth: assessing use cases, reviewing the data situation, judging feasibility and translating complex ML concepts into clear business cases.
  • Turn results into roadmaps: You translate workshop results into technical roadmaps and work with our ML teams on effort estimates and proposal content.
  • Work hands-on: You look at client data yourself and build clickable prototypes and small demos that make workshop results tangible right away.
  • Support business development: You bring in technical expertise, for example in discovery calls or on feasibility questions. Commercial responsibility for accounts, offers, pricing and negotiations stays with the sales team.
  • Develop our standards: You extend our workshop frameworks and templates that we reuse with every new client.

Your Profile

  • Education: A strong degree in a quantitative field, for example data science, computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering.
  • Consulting experience: Ideally 2 to 5 years. Big firm or boutique matters less than having worked on projects directly at the client. Exposure to several industries is a plus.
  • Data science and coding: You understand how ML models work and know your way around databases. Practical data science experience and solid coding skills, above all in Python, are a plus.
  • Hands-on mentality: You try things out directly and enjoy building a first prototype quickly.
  • Presence with clients: You enjoy standing in front of clients, moderate discussions confidently and explain technical content in a way that both the business side and IT understand.
  • Languages: Business-fluent German for the DACH market and fluent English for our internal communication.
  • Teamwork: You like working closely with others. Sharing knowledge and giving direct feedback are part of the job for you.

Even if you do not tick every box: we look forward to your application.

Why us?

  • Building something: You help build a young consulting offering from the start and see the effect of your work directly at the client.
  • Team: Close to 40 people from different disciplines with a strong mathematics and physics background, many of them with a PhD.
  • Flexibility: Flexible hours and hybrid work, full-time or part-time.
  • Office: A nice office with good coffee in Berlin-Kreuzberg near Moritzplatz, and in the future in Frankfurt.
  • Short paths: Direct collaboration with the management team.
  • Location: Berlin. Frankfurt am Main is possible by arrangement, many of our clients are based in southern and south-western Germany.

What we need from you?

Please include with your application:

  • CV (required)
  • Degree certificates (required)
  • Transcripts of records, if available
  • Project or code samples (optional)
